COLLABORATION

Grace Carbon provides a level of engineering service that allows organizations to move from the theoretical phase into the design, engineer and build phase to enable clients to bring their technology to the field in pilot and facility sized modular equipment. We also provide full marketing imaging and web services, to bring that organization’s work to the public view with unparalleled creativity and professionalism.

SeaChange Project - Equatic

During 2023-24, Grace Carbon completed multiple projects for UCLA on the SeaChange project, bringing real world engineering to the implementation of their “transformative electrolytic approach for carbon dioxide removal that exploits the ocean-air equilibrium of CO2 and the enormous abundance of alkaline cations in seawater.” This process employs renewable energy to capture CO2 from seawater and produces green hydrogen in the process.

X/44 Project

2022-23 - Chas and his team were contracted by the Institute for Carbon Management at UCLA to develop the engineering package for their X/44 Project: a novel electrochemical reactor to achieve direct air capture (DAC) through fractional CO2 enrichment (FCE). Our completed this work on both lab and pilot models. This technology represents the world’s first RPB (Rotating Packed Bed) Centrifuge DAC’s.
